A humanoid turtle person that is wide and slow, but very durable. They range from shades of grey to green, and their eyesight is very poor for the most part.

  • Ability Score Increase: Your Dexterity is reduced by 2, but your Constitution is increased by 2 and Wisdom by 1.
  • Age: They reach physical maturity at around 30 years and live for up to 250 years.
  • Alignment: They live in small packs, which provides them with a mostly lawful background. They are also more self-preservative; though not necessarily selfless, they will remain neutral for their own good fortune.
  • Size: They range from barely over 4 feet to a little over 7 feet. Your size is Medium.
  • Speed: Your base walking speed is 25 feet.
  • Languages: You can read, speak, and write Common, Sylvan, and one extra language of your choice.
  • Turtle Shell. If you are unarmored, you gain Great Defense (AC=10+CON mod x2). If you are armored, then you gain +2 to AC for being lightly armored, +1 if medium armored, and none if you have on heavy armor.
  • Bite. As a bonus action, you can make an attack roll to bite an enemy for 1d4 damage.
  • Lockjaw. If you bite someone, you can choose to lock your jaw shut, and dealing another 1d4 damage for every one of your turns after the one you activate this effect on. Your target is bound to you so long this effect is active, and you can at most move at 10 feet per second. Their speed is 0 until they break free. You can only successfully activate this effect on any creature of one up from your size or smaller. To escape, the creature must make an Athletics check against your DC of 10+STR mod+CON mod. You can only use this ability as many times equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of 1) before you must long rest.
